With over 20 years of experience in mental health nursing, Zeiyad brings a wealth of expertise to Ciconia Recovery London. Having worked in diverse settings, including inpatient units, forensic and prisons, as well as community and crisis teams, Zeiyad has developed a profound understanding of mental health care. Zeiyad’s passion lies in ADHD, and he has previously spearheaded the establishment and enhancement of ADHD services in prisons across Southeast England.
Throughout his career, Zeiyad has achieved notable milestones. These include the successful implementation of “Nurse-led” clinics in prisons, the establishment and leadership of an Adult ADHD service in Surrey prisons, and active involvement in the development of the ADHD Pathway within the Offender Care Division. His exceptional work with young people and adult offenders even led to a meeting with the Royal Princess in 2008, where Zeiyad served as the Pathway Lead for the Mental Health Service. Moreover, Zeiyad has participated in collaborative teamwork that resulted in achievements and recognition, such as the Sussex Partnership Award in 2013.
As a practitioner, Zeiyad prioritizes active listening, empathy, and a holistic approach to treatment. He firmly believes in utilizing evidence-based interventions and adhering to safe practices. Zeiyad is committed to ongoing personal and professional growth, as evidenced by his completion of a degree in Mental Health Nursing with Middlesex University and his plans to pursue a Master’s degree.
